Thorough knowledge of WISHA and OSHA regulations pertaining to the HVAC trade, National Electric Code, and local jurisdictional codes; Comprehensive knowledge of and skill in the theory, principles, methods, and techniques used in the installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC equipment; Demonstrated computer skills in email, Microsoft Office Suite applications, and work order management systems; Demonstrated knowledge in the utilization of a DDC control system; Ability to communicate effectively and carry out oral and written instructions; Ability to read, interpret, and work from blueprints, schematics, drawings, specifications, and construction documents; Demonstrated ability to diagnose HVAC problems, communicate findings, procure appropriate components, and make timely repairs. Plans, organizes, and directs the work of maintenance mechanics engaged in the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing, heating, water, cooling, refrigeration, sewer, and fire suppression systems, steam distribution systems, commercial air-conditioning (environmental) equipment, air handling units, and pneumatic/electronic/electrical or mechanical control systems; Performs, trains, guides, and directs skilled HVAC work on such plant equipment as boilers, chillers, pumps, and controls.
