See how your contributions will help transform vision into reality:Position Overview: This role exists to lead the system architecture, technical direction, and delivery of Navico's Android-based core services and SDK platform. The Team Tech Lead is responsible for hands-on development, technical leadership, and cross-functional collaboration across global teams. This role is pivotal in shaping the platform and framework layers above AOSP, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and alignment with future Android releases. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong architectural vision, and the ability to lead multi-site development efforts that span product, platform, and research initiatives. Essential Functions:Technical & Architectural LeadershipOwn and evolve the architecture of Navico's platform services and SDK, including launcher, settings, device management, data services, OTA, and more.Define and maintain modular, scalable, and testable architecture patterns that support long-term platform evolution and product reuse.Lead the design and implementation of framework layers that abstract and extend AOSP capabilities for Navico's hardware ecosystem.Ensure forward compatibility with upcoming Android versions and industry trends in embedded and automotive Android.Drive architecture reviews, technical design documentation, and system-level decision-making across teams. Hands-On DevelopmentActively contribute to codebases in Kotlin, Java, C/C++, Python, and embedded Android layers.Guide the team in adopting best practices in software design, testing, and performance optimization.Champion CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and infrastructure-as-code for platform delivery. Team & Project LeadershipDirect management of a small team of software engineers.Mentor a globally distributed team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.Collaborate with product management, UX, hardware, and validation teams to align technical solutions with business goals.Support multi-site development strategies, ensuring consistency, code quality, and knowledge sharing across regions. Security, Privacy & ComplianceDefine and enforce security, privacy, and safety requirements across all platform layers.Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements relevant to embedded and connected systems. Documentation & CommunicationProduce and maintain clear, comprehensive technical documentation for internal and external stakeholders.Communicate architectural decisions and technical strategies effectively to engineering leadership and executive teams. Required Qualifications:10+ years of experience in a software development and software architecture role.Bachelor's degree in electrical, computer engineering, computer science or related engineering field.Experience with Android, Android Automotive, services and SDK development.Knowledge of embedded software, CANBus, networking, cloud, mobile, hardware, ML.Proven leader of people that can get results and the best of people.Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work with a global team/audience.Ability to meet deadlines; accomplish work in order of priority; professionally maintain composure and effectiveness under pressure and changing conditions.Ability to negotiate conflict and maintain constructive working relationships with people at all levels of an organization.Ability to support corporate 5 C's program. Customer Satisfaction, Commercial Edge, Collaboration, Culture of Passion and Performance, and Credibility. Preferred Qualifications:Passion for boating or at least comfortable with product testing on boats.Experience with Atlasian, Android Studio, GCP, testrail, gherkin and cucumber or similar products.Experience with IOT connected and secure products and protocols - WiFi, BLE, CAN, NMEA.Formal management training. Working Conditions:This is a hybrid role with a 3-day a week onsite expectation. Some global traveling. CompensationThe anticipated pay range for this position is $118,400 to $174,000, annually. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. A Structural Drafter/Designer to assist project engineers in the design of various low-rise commercial building projects using AutoCAD and Revit. Required:<ul><li>Associates Degree in Drafting or Technical Degree, preferred
	</li><li>2+ years experience structural drafting
	</li><li>Proficiency using AutoCAD
	</li><li>Proficiency using Revit 
	</li><li>Knowledge of commercial construction
	</li><li>Must be able to work in a project team and maintain a project schedule, be a self-starter, detail-oriented, and have exceptional organizational skills
	</li><li>Must be able to interact with clients and co-workers in a professional and respectful manner
	</li><li>Must be able to work in a team environment, sharing roles and responsibilities, with limited supervision
</li></ul>Job Responsibilities:<ul><li>Assist in the design and development of commercial structural plans and drawings using Revit and AutoCAD
	</li><li>Assist in the research, plan, and design of building projects for clients under the supervision of a senior engineer
	</li><li>Address redline comments and coordination items as directed by a senior engineer
	</li><li>Apply knowledge of design, construction procedures, and building codes and building materials to design and production work
	</li><li>Prepare construction documentation with regard to design, material specification, and detailing
	</li><li>Prepare or assist in preparing simple structural computations, material quantity estimates, and designs
	</li><li>Support structural projects by preparing routine layouts, detailing drawings, sketches and diagrams, details shall depict all views and dimensions necessary
	</li><li>Coordinate structural framing dimensions with architectural requirements
	</li><li>Coordinate revisions to structural plans or elevations with details and vice versa
</li></ul>Pay Range: $30/hr. - $40/hr.
