This role is responsible for owning and defining the overall system architecture for advanced cabinet-based systems, ensuring robust integration, protection, and operability across all major components.</p><p> </p><p>The salary for this position will be based on several factors such as skills and years of experience. If your salary expectations do not align, still apply as we are may be able to demonstrate flexibility </p></div></div><div style="padding:10px 0px;border:1px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16px;word-wrap:break-word"><h2 style="font-size:1em;margin:0px"><u><b>Essential Job Responsibilities</b></u></h2></div><div><ul><li>Own and develop the complete system architecture, ensuring alignment with program requirements and engineering standards.</li><li>Define cabinet-level interfaces, ensuring compatibility, scalability, and clarity across subsystems.</li><li>Establish voltage and current limits to ensure electrical safety, compliance, and optimal system performance.</li><li>Develop and implement grounding, bonding, and protection strategies to support reliable and secure system operation.</li><li>Ensure proper interface and seamless integration with the existing controller architecture.</li><li>Lead major component selection decisions, evaluating technical performance, risk, cost, and lifecycle considerations.</li><li>Collaborate cross-functionally with electrical, mechanical, software, and program teams to ensure cohesive system delivery.</li><li>Provide technical leadership throughout design, development, integration, and testing phases.</li></ul></div></div><div style="padding:10px 0px;border:1px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16px;word-wrap:break-word"><h2 style="font-size:1em;margin:0px"><u><b>Minimum Qualifications</b></u></h2></div><div><ul><li>5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.</li><li>5 years of experience in system architecture, electrical system design, or integrated hardware system development.</li><li>Strong understanding of electrical power systems, including voltage/current limitations, grounding strategies, and protection schemes.</li><li>Experience defining system interfaces and working with cabinet-level or enclosure-based system designs.</li><li>Hands-on experience evaluating and selecting major hardware components (e.g., power electronics, controllers, sensors, protection devices).</li><li>Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with multidisciplinary engineering teams.</li><li>Strong analytical, documentation, and technical communication skills.</li><li>Clearance: Secret level security clearance.</li></ul></div></div><div style="padding:10px 0px;border:1px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16px;word-wrap:break-word"><h2 style="font-size:1em;margin:0px"><u><b>Physical Requirements</b></u></h2></div><div>May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment.
