The Pharmacy Operations Coordinator participates, and oversees, various activities of pharmacy practice such as prescription order entry, claim adjudication, preparation & dispensing of medications, medication distribution, non- sterile and sterile compounding, inventory management, including the use of automated pharmacy device and equipment, record maintenance, handling of controlled substances, communication with patients, and maintenance of assigned areas. In addition, Pharmacy Operations Coordinators assess and adjust for the age-specific needs of the patients and are responsible for performing duties in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital and state and federal regulations.
