The Medical Lab Scientist analyzes biological specimens integrating instrument operation, maintenance, and control/calibration with patient data and test results to provide accurate, reliable, and timely information for preventing, diagnosing, or treating disease. New graduates (90 days post grad) completing an accredited educational institution must be registry eligible and obtain certification within 18 months of employment.
