This position requires employees to perform wet and dry excavations, that include digging in various types of soil conditions, including water saturated excavations, hand digging around pressurized water mains, fire hydrants, water valves, and underground utilities such as high voltage electric, fiber optics, cable television, telephone, and high/low pressure gas lines. Do you understand that that this position often requires employees to spend most of their work shift outdoors in adverse weather conditions such as extreme heat or cold, performing work duties that involve heavy digging, heavy lifting of up to 80 pounds, extensive walking, bending, standing, and crawling up and down trenches in water filled holes and confined spaces?.
