Inspects, diagnoses, and locates mechanical and electrical issues on a variety of gasoline and diesel-powered units and dismantles assemblies to gain access to hydraulic systems, front and rear drive components, electrical systems, drive train components, chassis components, and ignition systems using proper tools and test equipment. Essential Functions : Performs skilled maintenance and repair duties involving repairs to gasoline and diesel powered heavy, and light construction equipment including but not limited to excavators, backhoes, skid steer, loaders, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, Challenger, cranes, vacuum trucks and bulldozers.
