The Assistant IG - Investigations will assist the Deputy IG - Investigations, the Inspector General, and other OIG managers, as appropriate, in conduct of the following responsibilities: Manages OIG investigations, evaluates complaints, assigns cases to investigators and supervises their caseloads effectively to ensure excellence and timely and efficient disposition of matters. While supervising staff, work may include conducting in-depth, sometimes adversarial interviews, drafting affidavits for arrest and searches and seizures, conducting arrests and searches, engaging in surveillance, participating in undercover operations, extensive record reviews, liaison with other law enforcement agencies, and serving subpoenas.
