Serves as a primary faculty member who is responsible for and actively participates in the processes of developing, reviewing, and revising as necessary the mission statement, goals and competencies of the program, selecting applicants for admission to the PA program, providing student instruction, evaluating student performance, academic counseling of students, assuring the availability of remedial instruction, designing, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating the curriculum, and evaluating the program. Job Requirements: Appointment to the rank of assistant professor requires completion of professional training, which in most disciplines will be a terminal degree (usually the earned doctorate), and the clear promise of a successful career in teaching, scholarship, and service.
