Assesses children for candidacy of hearing assistive technology: ie: hearing aids, cochlear implants and develops a comprehensive, culturally appropriate audiological habilitation management plan regarding the fitting, dispensing, and trouble-shooting of assisted hearing technology. Consults with collegues, Otolaryngology attending physician specialists, ancillary dept staff (rehabilitation, speech pathologists, and others) and referring specialists or pediatricians in which to communicate and coordinate patient care.
