As an intern in Crowe's Audit and Assurance practice you'll get in-depth exposure to the auditing profession and learn more about the day-to-day responsibilities of an auditor. You'll receive guidance and work closely with experienced audit professionals, as well as have exposure to issues shaping and affecting the profession today.During your internship, you'll sharpen your analytical skills as you audit client financials, transactions and internal control processes. You'll work independently and collaborate with a diverse group of talented audit professionals to deliver exceptional audit client service delivery. You will use our audit tools and technologies that use advanced analytics, data visualizations and process flow automation to analyze client data and provide exceptional client experience.Interns will have the opportunity to work as a team member on diverse client engagements to include manufacturing and distribution, not-for-profit, government, healthcare, education, construction, dealerships, food and agriculture, insurance and financial institution clients. Please take your course load and school schedule into consideration if you wish to pursue an internship during this timeframe.Skills and Requirements:<ul><li>Pursuing a Bachelor's and/or Master's in Accounting or similar degree </li><li>CPA Eligibility : You must be scheduled to meet the educational requirements to obtain a CPA license. Prior to starting full-time, new hires must fulfill the education-related eligibility criteria to obtain a CPA license in their assigned Crowe work location. <h2>JOB DUTIES</h2> The Weatherization Pre-Audit Inspector performs all functions necessary to identify the best candidate houses to receive weatherization services. The Pre-Audit Inspector compiles background documentation on eligible properties from client applications and other sources, calculates utility consumption ratings using computer software, prioritizes preliminary findings, contacts prospects through mass or targeted mailers or directly by phone, schedules and performs cursory site visits, interviews and educates clients on energy conservation and healthy homes principles, collects site data demonstrating energy savings opportunities and habitability conditions, synthesizes findings, and communicates recommendations based on totality of information collected. Additionally, the Pre-Audit Inspector performs administrative, staff, and program support functions as needed. ________________________________________________________________________<h2></h2><h2>SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS</h2>Possess strong manual dexterity and visual skills. Possess strong auditory and verbal skills to communicate clearly with clients, staff and the public.Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.Able to operate hand tools, power tools, and keyboard.Able to climb ladders and mount and dismount roofs and attic access points from ladders.Able to lift, carry and move 50 pounds in all directions. Able to stand or sit for 45-minute intervals.Able to handle occasional heavy work involving stooping, crawling, bending, lifting, standing, sitting, and working in tight and undesirable spaces. Able to work in extreme temperatures. High School Diploma required.Able to quickly develop a thorough understanding of weatherization dynamics, basic community action concepts, and the numerous regulations governing agency operations and programs. Able to relate well with diverse personalities from a variety of socio-economic backgrounds. Proficient in MS Office applications. High comfort level with public interaction. When driving for Brightpoint, the employee must have a valid Indiana driver's license and must maintain minimum liability limits of $100,000/$300,000 on auto insurance.
