Worker is subject to adverse weather and environmental conditions, including temperature extremes, humidity and precipitation; noise and vibration from heavy equipment; physical hazards from moving machinery, equipment with moving parts, traffic, hazardous chemicals, and bacteria in wastewater. Work requires lifting, moving and/or carrying fire hydrants, concrete meter boxes, other heavy items weighing over 25 pounds; driving trucks and operating a backhoe; duties also require walking, reaching, lifting, climbing, stooping, and digging.
