Aviation Management or related field with a minimum of two years of experience in managing a GSEmaintenance operation or an equivalent combination of education and experience; Proficient within Microsoft Office suite programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel); This position requires a broad range of mechanical and management experience including but not limited to GSE equipment, service vehicles, tractor/trailer, industrial pumps and hoses, storage facilities, fuels, fluids, facility requirements and safety/regulatory requirements; Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to listen to others and value opinions, interpret information, promote and execute ideas, preparation of reports and presentations and promote an environment of open communication; Capable of interacting with all levels of internal and external stakeholders; Must be a team player with ability to lead team in meeting goals, identifying areas of strength within a team, build and maintain work teams and relationships, and follow through to be sure that deadlines are met and success/failures are identified following each task assignment; Ability to assist General Manager in managing project tasks assigned to his/her location to include follow up with team to outline progress on assigned tasks, provide regular updates to the Regional Maintenance Manager on any concerns or new information, and be an active participant for the successful completion and involvement of the team project; Ability to mentor, coach and lead employees, mechanics and other assigned staff for further growth and development; Direct and manage all aspects of the maintenance department with ability to identify ways to improve and progress for process improvement. Keep the Regional Maintenance manager informed of new developments; Ability to oversee inventory to include ordering and allocating necessary parts and ground support equipment (GSE) in anticipation of needs, while maintaining a current inventory of all essential parts and supplies; Ensure the maintenance department is focused on achieving optimal GSE equipment service, conducts regular equipment checks, maintains essential and up-to-date recordkeeping and is capable of utilizing their equipment to maximum potential; Perform inspections of GSE as needed, and provide technical guidance to GSE mechanics to ensure operational readiness and safety; Responsible for staying current on the maintenance GSE program software.
