High School Degree or equivalent; + Must have experience as a Patrol Lead or Specialist Ski Patroller at a Vail Resort; + Must have and keep OEC certification current; + Must have experience as an Avalanche Route Leader and previous patrol training background; + Extensive knowledge of ski patrol including: medical, trails, scheduling, weather, training, avalanche, snowmobile, accident investigation, lift evacuation, and slope safety; + Extensive knowledge of Park City Operations, including: snowmaking, risk management, terrain park, lift maintenance, race crew, lift operations, mountain safety, F & B, ski school, events, transportation, guest services; + Effective working relationships inter/intra departmentally; + Effective decision making skills; + Working computer knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint; + Must be proficient in communication in English-speaking, writing and comprehension; + Must be a minimum of 21 years of age. Team Leads will be required to deliver positive and constructive feedback to patrollers,including taking disciplinary and corrective action when necessary; + Conduct timely performance evaluations in alignment with overall input from multiple sources including The Patrol Leadership Team; + Ensure the Accident Investigation Team is well prepared, trained for the task and follows through with the required steps; + Assist with special event planning and preparation; + Successfully complete hiring paperwork, training assistance, and scheduling of seasonal patrollers within given timeframes; + Ensure accountability of patroller development by tracking the training performance and certifications within given deadlines.
