The ideal candidate will have a PhD and hands-on laboratory experience in immunology, cell biology, or a related discipline, with an interest in learning and applying microscopy-based approaches to support therapeutic antibody discovery and characterization. Our approach encompasses multi-modal data collection including live 3D timelapse imaging, data analysis, theory, and predictions to understand cell states and cell state transitions in human induced pluripotent stem cell models. PhD degree in biological science (e.g., cell biology, developmental biology, biophysics, bioengineering), physical science, or related science, engineering or related field or equivalent combination of degree and experience required.

li>Collaborate with software engineers to build state-of-the-art engineering infrastructure at the Allen Institute to support large scale AI/ML research and applications, such as methods for caching and processing petabyte scale data across multiple networked GPU nodes on cloud; this person will build a research grade large scale ML infrastructure that will be hardened by SWE. - Develop and deploy large scale ML models that deepen our understanding of complex biological systems in health and disease by incorporating diverse biological datatypes, such as multi-omics data, microscopy data, in vivo and behavioral imaging data, electrophysiological data, and/or clinical data.
This role requires a team member who will produce high-quality, technically accurate deliverables, mentor and support junior staff, maintain strong client relationships, and manage multiple priorities with professionalism. + Prepare and review high-quality technical documents such as critical areas reports, wetland delineation reports, mitigation plans, SEPA, HPA, Section 404/401 permit applications, etc.
