Overview: D432 is seeking entry level engineers who will be supporting a multidisciplinary team developing concepts, designing, building, maintaining, certifying and life cycle support of the ship control system for the safe operation of US submarines. Overview:
D432 is seeking entry level engineers who will be supporting a multidisciplinary team developing concepts, designing, building, maintaining, certifying and life cycle support of the ship control system for the safe operation of US submarines.  We seek highly motivated candidates across multiple engineering disciplines including, but not limited to, systems engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering, and aerospace engineering.   Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:<ul><li>Support ongoing systems and component engineering efforts to conceptualize, develop, verify, deploy and maintain a complex hardware and software-based system. </li><li>Analyze, develop, and review requirements and verification plans for system, hardware and software development</li><li>Support development and maintenance of system-level architecture concepts and evaluations</li><li>Support software development efforts by managing and maintaining interface definitions and performing requirements analysis. Activities may also include code development, code peer review and functional test</li><li>Provide concept-to-production engineering support for various electrical and electronic hardware components. Activities to include circuit design, component selection, electronics packaging, procurement, documentation, prototyping, troubleshooting and qualification</li><li>Test plan and environment development, test execution and data analysis</li></ul>

Qualifications:
Required:<ul><li>Bachelors of Science degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Physics</li><li>0-5 years of post-graduate experience</li></ul>

The Respiratory Therapy Intern is responsible for supporting the overall operations of the Respiratory Department, which consists of equipment cleaning, assembling and distribution, transport, oxygen tank replacement, stocking of all disposable items and equipment to nursing floors and department. Requires a minimum of one year of both Clinical and Didactical completion of Respiratory Therapy Academic completion of an accredited CoARC Respiratory Care Program evident by submission of college/university program director or appointee with college/university letterhead.

To support and deliver respiratory care, in accordance to departmental, clinical and academic verification and distribution; under the supervision and direction of a Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner. Responsibilities:
<ul style="list-style:none"><li>1. Maintains respiratory equipment. This includes cleaning and disinfecting equipment in accordance with procedures, assembly and testing of equipment if appropriate, notifying and communicating with biomedical engineering regarding broken or malfunctioning equipment.</li><li>2. Responsible for oxygen tank orders, replacement, equipment set up, and delivery.</li><li>3. Ensures adequate respiratory supplies at all times.</li><li>4. Maintains direct communication with respiratory practitioners regarding equipment and other departmental needs.</li><li>5. Assists therapists with transport of mechanically ventilated patients and responds to equipment requests to ensure an efficient and orderly process.</li><li>6. Responds within five minutes when called as observed by a supervisor or therapist.</li><li>7. Provide and support continuity of patient care and clinical operational support under the direction and supervision of a Licensed Respiratory Therapist and in accordance with departmental guidelines.</li><li>8. Provide and support clinical and patient care under the scope of respiratory care in accordance and verification of departmental competency validation based on Respiratory Therapy Clinical Coordinator/Educator and Cardiopulmonary Services Manager.</li><li>9. Demonstrates competency and clinical acumen of respiratory care theories, concepts and best practices in accordance to departmental policies, protocols and standard operating procedures as established by the organization.</li><li>10. Performs EKGs</li><li>11. Demonstrate and maintain current/active required credentials such as BLS and ACLS.</li><li>12. Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure smooth operation of the department/unit.</li></ul>

Qualifications:
EDUCATION High School Graduate or equivalent. Requires a current and active enrollment in a CoArc approved Respiratory Therapy Program. Must be a second year student. EXPERIENCE Requires a minimum of one year of both Clinical and Didactical completion of Respiratory Therapy Academic completion of an accredited CoARC Respiratory Care Program evident by submission of college/university program director or appointee with college/university letterhead. LICENSURE None at the time of hire but before progressing into a respiratory therapy position must gain the credential of Registered Respiratory Therapist. Successful applicant will be required to assist in the System Engineering efforts ranging from initial system design through development, hardware/software integration, component qualification, test, construction support, delivery, and post-delivery support to include analysis and resolution of fleet identified problems, assessment of obsolescence issues, and identification of components for technical refresh. System Engineering efforts related to contractor furnished SONAR systems include the Large Vertical Array (LVA), Bow Conformal Array (BCA), Integrated Search and Survey (ISS), as well as various developmental systems and Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) SONAR sensors, arrays, and components.

Overview:
The CAVES Systems team is responsible for the development, qualification, integration, testing, delivery, and installation support of contractor developed and furnished SONAR arrays across multiple classes of submarines including VIRGINIA and COLUMBIA Class. System Engineering efforts related to contractor furnished SONAR systems include the Large Vertical Array (LVA), Bow Conformal Array (BCA), Integrated Search and Survey (ISS), as well as various developmental systems and Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) SONAR sensors, arrays, and components. The candidate will be required to interface with NAVSEA, government agencies, subcontractors, and other Electric Boat discipline areas. Successful applicant will be required to assist in the System Engineering efforts ranging from initial system design through development, hardware/software integration, component qualification, test, construction support, delivery, and post-delivery support to include analysis and resolution of fleet identified problems, assessment of obsolescence issues, and identification of components for technical refresh. In addition to supporting new development efforts, the candidate will be required to support the successful installation and test of SONAR systems at QP, EB Groton, and Newport News Shipbuilding shipyards. This position will require that the engineer perform technology investigations, trade-studies, identify/resolve risks, identify opportunities for cost reductions, and validate methods to ensure producible end products. Strong organizational, communications, and interpersonal skills and the ability to function independently are required.  Project management experience is preferred.  Candidates must be highly motivated team player.

Qualifications:
Required:<ul><li>A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, including Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, Industrial, Aerospace, or Biomedical</li><li>5+ years’ post-graduate professional engineering experience</li></ul>Preferred:<ul><li>A Master of Science degree in Engineering</li><li>Demonstrated ability to lead engineering tasks/projects</li><li>Experience and/or working knowledge of US SSN/SSBN SONAR Systems including Bow Arrays and large flank arrays (CAVES, LWWAA, etc.)</li><li>Working knowledge of SONAR design theory, including underwater sound propagation and acoustics, and SONAR operation(s)</li></ul>
