Key areas of responsibility include: Overseeing the agency’s investment, budget development and monitoring, purchasing and procurement, inmate banking, revenue and other fund management, accounting, capital replacement funding operations, capital improvements, grants management, warehouse operations, and the Sheriff’s Office vehicle fleet. Acting as the agency’s primary financial coordinator with federal agencies; agencies of the Commonwealth; Fairfax County’s Department of Management and Budget (DMB), Department of Procurement and Material Management (DPMM), Department of Finance (DoF), and Department of Human Resources (DHR); the U.S. Marshals Service; and the Fairfax City Budget Office.
