With direction, responsible for the design and design check of steel and concrete bridges, overhead sign structures, concrete box culverts, retaining walls, and other highway-related structures, ensures proper engineering theory and design principles, dimensional accuracy, and public safety in accordance with AASHTO specifications. Utilizes proper engineering theory and knowledge of computer development applications to assist in developing, testing, and maintaining the BRASS suite of programs and other engineering software used in the design, review, and load rating of bridges and structural components.
