Knowledge of complex cases including but not limited to the treatment of peripheral arterial disease (angiography, stent placement, Atherectomy), portal hypertension (transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunts - TIPS), cancer (Y-90 administration, chemoembolization, port placement), DVT and PE (thrombolysis, thrombectomy), trauma (embolization), aortic aneurysms (endograft placement and revision), dialysis interventions (fistulagrams, angioplasty, declotting, catheter placement), and neurointervention (stroke revascularization, aneurysm and AVM embolization). VIR Technologist works collaboratively with all members of the team to create diagnostic images, engage in hands-on participation as a procedural assistant, and develop relationships with staff and patients to provide everyone with a safe and positive experience.
