Under direction, this position is responsible for performing a variety of routine and complex technical assignments relative to the construction field, with emphasis on construction inspection to ensure compliance with the approved plans, FDOT specifications, Land Development Codes, public safety and other applicable regulations. Knowledge of keeping logs, recording project activities, weather conditions, the nature and location of work being performed, verbal instructions and interpretations given to the designer and contractor, specific observations, and any occurrence or work that might result in a claim for a change in Contract Sum or contract duration.
