Department Overview: The nurses of the Neurosciences Intensive Care Unit (NSICU) provide patient and family centered care to the patient populations of neurosurgery, neuro-medical and stroke including: subarachnoid hemorrhage, cerebrovascular aneurysms, microvascular decompression, cerebrovascular thrombosis, intraparenychmal, hemorrhage, subdural hematoma, tumor resection, mysathenic crisis, aneurysm clipping, coiling, and stents. Associate or Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from a program accredited by Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA) .
