The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off).</li></ul><div style="line-height:normal">The selected candidate will be a strategic Human Resources and Labor Relation Business Partner to the Anniston, AL manufacturing facility located on the Anniston Army Depot and at an off-site warehouse.        </div><div style="line-height:normal"><b></b>   </div><div style="line-height:normal"><b>Responsibilities to Anticipate for this Role:</b>    </div><ul><li style="line-height:normal">Establish and maintain an intimate understanding of the client organizations and the business, in the interest of building effective and productive working relationships with internal stakeholders and clients, at all levels of the organization. </li><li style="line-height:normal">Coach business leaders on HR policies and processes, including employee relations, performance management, staffing, compensation, organizational development, and employee learning and development.</li><li>Execute and partner with the Labor Relations Solution Center to ensure alignment with proactive Labor Relations strategy. Understand and execute the USW local Agreement. </li><li style="line-height:normal">Coach business leaders on key organizational and management issues. </li><li style="line-height:normal">Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition solution center, with a strong focus on acquiring and retaining top talent and on building pipeline for future needs, including strategy for on-campus recruiting, technical colleges/trade schools, focused military recruitment initiatives and intern/ co-op programs. </li><li style="line-height:normal">Use understanding of individual and organizational dynamics to facilitate talent movement into and throughout the organization. </li><li style="line-height:normal">Partner with Compensation Solution Center to conduct salary analysis and implement for new hires, merit, promotions, equity adjustments and other salary transactions. </li><li style="line-height:normal">Partner with business leaders and HR Solution Centers to assess impact of current total rewards offerings to ensure competitive attraction and retention of top talent while leveraging metrics for key decision-making. </li><li style="line-height:normal">Interpret policies and procedures and provide guidance in a consistent manner to managers, employees, and HR business partners. </li><li style="line-height:normal">Facilitate the resolution of complex employee concerns, including discipline when appropriate. Counsel management on corrective actions ensuring consistency and adherence to company policies and the collective bargaining agreement. </li><li style="line-height:normal">Ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations. </li><li style="line-height:normal">Interact closely/positively with other human resources representatives to achieve departmental goals and objectives in a team environment. </li><li style="line-height:normal">Report and analyze a variety of human resource metrics.</li><li style="line-height:normal">Support and coach management with respect to a wide variety of labor relations issues.</li><li style="line-height:normal">Provide support for local negotiations, grievance handling, contract administration, and other local labor relations activities. </li><li style="line-height:normal">Develop and maintain an effective working relationship with local union leadership in order to successfully resolve shop floor and contract administration issues.</li></ul><div style="line-height:15pt;background:white;margin:7.5pt 0in 7.5pt 0in"><b>Qualifications Sought:</b>     </div><ul><li style="line-height:normal">Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related curriculum required.  Master's degree and/or HRCI certification (PHR/SPHR) is a plus.</li><li style="line-height:normal">At least 7 years of HR experience in a manufacturing environment (Relevant business experience may be considered in lieu of HR experience.)</li><li style="line-height:normal">Must effectively demonstrate the ability to work at all levels of the organization.</li><li style="line-height:normal">Must be able to effectively balance the role of employee advocate and management advisor.</li><li style="line-height:normal">Experience working in a unionized environment and administering a collective bargaining agreement is a plus.</li><li style="line-height:normal">Must have experience in business negotiations and have a strong business acumen and be customer focus.</li><li style="line-height:normal">Previous talent management experience.</li><li style="line-height:normal">Strong communication, positive influential skills.</li><li style="line-height:normal">Strong conflict resolution experience is a must.</li><li style="line-height:normal">Ability to think strategically and enterprise wide.</li><li style="line-height:normal">Ability to manage multiple efforts simultaneously.</li><li style="line-height:normal">Strong aptitude for continuous learning.</li><li style="line-height:normal">Must be proactive solution provider.</li><li style="line-height:normal">High degree of integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality is required.</li><li style="line-height:normal">Must be proficient with HRIS and PC applications, and Applicant Tracking Systems (iCIMS, JobVite, etc)</li><li style="line-height:normal">Microsoft Office Suite software proficient.</li></ul><div style="margin-bottom:0in;line-height:normal;background:white"><i>GDLS considers factors such as, scope/responsibilities of the position, candidate experience and education/training background, in addition to local market comparable and business considerations when extending an offer.</i>      </div>
