Direct Buyer Specialist Location: Rockford, IL - Hybrid possible Job ID: #72235 Duration: 24 months contract Pay Range: Depends on experience Job Description:<ul><li>This HYBRID position is for an experienced procurement professional within a Supply Chain function. Executes new program sourcing strategies while ensuring alignment with commodity strategies and best cost sourcing plans for sustainable supply chain development.</li><li>Responsible for implementing plans to ensure the new product sourcing strategy is in alignment with desired program outcomes.</li><li>Opportunities to develop skills in cross-functional leadership, solution-based negotiating, cost management activities, strategic commodity coordination, and execution of key customer critical program development activities.</li><li>The New Product Introduction role will read across all aspects of supply chain competencies, providing an excellent proving ground for motivated individuals with interest in building a strong base within supply chain organizations. </li><li>This individual will be expected to communicate to all levels of the organization, manage procurement activities through initial phases of product development (proposal & preliminary design) and validate new program business case proposals.</li><li>Take new programs through the development life cycle while working in an Integrated Product Team structure.</li><li>Integrate with Supply Management and leverage the Commodity Strategies to maximize the impact of new programs for cost reduction without compromise to quality.</li><li>Directly interface with Senior Management within the business unit customers (Value Stream Leads, etc.) and serve as the link between the program and the supply chain organization.</li><li>Drive compliance to procurement procedures within the working team in order to develop and execute standard work within the Procurement for development program.</li><li>Demonstrate understanding of Global logistics including import/export requirements.</li><li>Execution duties consist of large quote packages and bid analysis, PO placement and delivery assurance.</li><li>SAP experience is essential and strong Excel skills are very beneficial in this role.
