Must have knowledge of the various gauges, sizes, and types of wire, conduit, fittings, boxes, circuit breakers, relays and other electrical supplies and devices; Require basic familiarity with electronics and components: such as transformers, resistors, capacitors, diodes, transistors; may operate basic test equipment such as signal generators, signal tracers; and may read schematics of uncomplicated assemblies to determine locations of defective electronic parts and circuits. Inspects, records and reports condition of electrical load components with infrared tester, ammeter, voltage tester, megger, high potential tester, circuit analyzer, phase rotation, and other electrical testers to ensure sound continued electrical safety.
