Candidates should be able to assist with a variety of emergency and non-emergency service activities related to wildland fire incidents, fire incidents, emergency medical incidents, hazardous materials incidents, rescue incidents, fire prevention, public education, and community disaster preparedness; interpret and explain City and Fire Department policies and procedures. Candidates must have a valid Utah Driver License, capable of working in an emergency firefighting environment; work in intense life-threatening conditions; exposure to fire, smoke, bodily fluids, and noise; running, walking, crawling, climbing, stooping, and lifting; work in inclement weather conditions; may wear heavy protective equipment while working.
