Nurses on this unit provide direct care to adult and geriatric patients presenting with high-acuity cardiac and neurological conditions including STEMI, non-STEMI, stroke, post-catheterization, and alcohol withdrawal.

This Registered Nurse  Cardiology/PCU position is located in Farmington, NM, serving the Four Corners region of New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah. The hospital is a 198-bed, Level III trauma center offering a broad range of services including a cancer center, childbirth center, nephrology unit, pediatric unit, inpatient behavioral health unit, and day surgery center, with PCI, mammography, and laboratory accreditations. The cardiology and intermediate care unit manages an adult-to-geriatric patient population using Cerner as the electronic health record. The role. Nurses on this unit provide direct care to adult and geriatric patients presenting with high-acuity cardiac and neurological conditions including STEMI, non-STEMI, stroke, post-catheterization, and alcohol withdrawal. Day shift IMC ratios are 1:3 for patients on active titrating drips and 1:4 for stable IMC patients, reflecting the intensity of monitoring and intervention required. Clinicians are expected to manage vasoactive and antiarrhythmic infusions, interpret cardiac rhythms, and coordinate care across the interdisciplinary team. The position functions within a dedicated cardiology and IMC specialty floor, with Cerner documentation throughout the shift. What we're looking for. <ul><li>Associate degree in Nursing or higher</li><li>Active RN license required prior to start date; open to candidates without current New Mexico or Compact licensure provided licensure is obtained before starting</li><li>Minimum 2 years of acute care experience, with at least 1 year of IMC or cardiology experience required; 2 years preferred</li><li>Resume must reflect a nurse practicum and list all experience in MM/YYYY format</li><li>BLS required; all other unit-required certifications may be obtained after hire</li></ul> Schedule.
