Under the general supervision of the Director, SHS Operations, led by the Senior Lead Nurse, and according to established protocol or direction of a physician, physician assistant or nurse practitioner, the Medical Assistant (MA) performs a variety of skilled Medical Assistant duties and gives direct nursing care to students in the Student Health Center. Responsible for administering medications/immunizations and performing routine care and/or medical assistant duties which require training and skill; Assist practitioners in the delivery of health care services such as examinations, clinical procedures, and medical treatments.
