Department Summary The Cath Lab is a high-acuity, fast-paced hospital unit where cardiologists, nurses, and radiologic technologists perform procedures like angiograms, angioplasties, stent placements, and emergency heart attack interventions. Expected to wear personal protective equipment appropriate for sterile, invasive procedures involving fluoroscopy such as, but not limited to hats, masks, gowns, shields, and lead radiology aprons throughout delivery of care.
