MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: General:• Pursuant with University policy, sets the financial strategy and business operations of UMass Chan.• Directly oversees the functional units within Administration and Finance, including: Finance, Research Administration, Facilities Management, Information Technology, Human Resources, and Technology Transfer, Entrepreneurship, and Licensing. Finance:• Directly oversees the finance and research administration functions at UMass Chan.• Sets and presents the institution's annual operating budget; directs the forecast of additional funds needed for staffing, equipment, materials, and supplies; monitors and approves expenditures.
