Working as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team, the Medical Assistant supports patient care and efficient clinic operations by preparing patients and examination rooms for medical visits, obtaining and recording vital signs, maintaining accurate medical records, performing routine clinical procedures, and assisting providers during examinations and procedures. Assist with medication-related administrative activities, including updating medication lists, coordinating prescription refill requests for provider review, communicating patient requests to the appropriate licensed medical provider, medication preparation, medication storage monitoring, inventory management, and patient medication instructions consistent with provider directions and organizational policies.
