Position Purpose: The Water Systems Operator II must have experience installing, maintaining, and repairing water mains, water services, pipes, pumps, wells; operate computer equipment, operate process equipment; operate, maintain and repair storage tanks and other water facilities; use tools and operate power-driven equipment necessary for the performance of the work; understand and carry out oral and/or written instructions; conduct work in a manner that is prompt and courteous, while maintaining good public relations; and supervise a small crew and/or work independently. Possible Work Hazards: May be exposed to possible operations hazards including fumes, toxic and caustic chemicals, heavy machinery, high pressure, hot or cold work environment temperatures, slippery surfaces, water hazards and electrical equipment.
