This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in the growth and development of children while supporting our mission to provide high-quality education and care.What you bring to the table:<ul><li>Has 12 semester units ECE/CD, with a grade C or better, or CDA Credential or CTC.</li><li>Has 6 months related experience with children ages 0-5 years of age.</li><li>Has an Associate Teacher Permit or higher.</li><li>HS/EHS/MSHS/State-Braided Associate Teachers must also meet at least one of the following criteria:</li><li>Have a child development associate (CDA) credential or the California equivalent of a Child Development Associate Teacher Permit at time of hire (12 ECE semester units including core courses; and for EHS and infant/toddler classrooms must also have 6 infant/toddler semester units)</li><li>OR</li><li>Be enrolled in a CDA credential program that will be completed within 2 years;</li><li>OR</li><li>Have an associate or bachelors degree (in any area) or be enrolled in a program leading to such a degree.</li><li>Depending on the department assigned, a valid California driver's license, a current DMV driving record, and proof of insurance may be required to fulfill job-related travel. Reasonable accommodations will be considered in accordance with applicable laws.</li></ul>As an Associate Teacher you will:<ul><li>Provide care and education for children ages 0-5, ensuring a positive and engaging learning experience.</li><li>Collaborate with the Center Supervisor and Teachers to plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities.</li><li>Assume the responsibilities of a Teacher in their absence, guiding and supporting instructional assistants, parents, and volunteers.</li><li>Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing environment for all children.</li><li>Assist in planning and executing educational activities that promote child development.</li><li>Participate in physical activities with children, including games, music, and outdoor play.</li><li>Assist with bus supervision, ensuring the safety and engagement of children during transportation.</li><li>Complete pediatric first aid and pediatric CPR training within the first 30 days of hire.</li><li>Complete 16 hours of training on preventative health practices and nutrition, as required by Health and Safety Code within the first 30 days of hire.</li></ul>Please note this job advertisement is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
