Mobile Crisis - Child Guidance Center, Southern CT Community Health Center IncMobile Crisis - Child Guidance Center, Southern CTStamford, CTSpecific responsibilities of the position include: • Provide immediate phone screening and prompt mobile response, consistent with time-frame guidelines of the states MCIS model and urgency of each situation • Provide crisis assessment and short term intervention for children, adolescents and their families, focused on safety planning and crisis stabilization • Provide assessment, and treatment services to victims and witnesses of crime and other potentially traumatic events • Obtain immediate case consultation and supervision, when needed for support, enhanced decision making and safety in high risk situations • Prioritize personal safety through compliance with safety policies and procedures • Coordinate with CGCs Director of Intake Unit and Program Directors to promote successful transfers between MCIS and other programs • Conduct comprehensive, child and family assessments including diagnosis, clinical formulation, and safety plans • Provide psychotherapeutic services utilizing psycho-dynamically oriented, trauma focused, cognitive behavioral, and play therapy interventions, as well as family and group therapy modalities • Provide guidance to parents / caregivers utilizing a family engagement framework • Maintain positive collaborative relationships with key community partners i.e. 211, hospital emergency departments and in-patient units; other higher level of care programs; police, schools, DCF, victim assistance programs, etc. • Provide community crisis response services to groups of children and families impacted by exposure to potentially traumatic events • Conduct community education programs to increase awareness of MCIS services in the community • Provide clinical supervision to and conduct performance evaluations of trainees ( Clinician II ) or trainees and staff ( Clinician III ), promoting excellence, professional development and job satisfaction • Actively participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning team meetings, supervision and other staff development activities • Maintain positive collaborative relationships with referral sources and key community provider • Utilize the agencys electronic health record (EHR) system to ensure proper and timely completion of all required clinical documentation, program statistics, and outcome data • Other related activities as needed.
