Perform a broad range of difficult technical work in the service, diagnosis and repair to all systems of specialized light, medium and heavy-duty gas and diesel-powered cars and trucks, medium and heavy-duty fire equipment and apparatus, including rescue units, and associated equipment: gasoline and diesel powered heavy equipment and components and ancillary equipment of varying makes and models. Performs repairs and maintenance in the following areas: hydraulic and air brakes including ABS systems, gasoline and diesel engines, advanced electrical and on-board computers and multi-plexing electronics systems, hydraulic systems, transmissions, exhaust, axle and suspensions, fire pumps and aerial fire apparatus.
