ResponsibilitiesDevelop civil airfield design, municipal projects, site design and construction improvement documentsCoordinate with planning and design team members, contractors, and sub-consultants for ongoing planning, design, and construction projectsPerform civil design, planning, construction support, and client management services for general aviation and commercial air service airportsPlan, direct and monitor all aspects of engineering and municipal projects including runways, taxiways, aprons, drainage improvements, utility relocation and protection, and pavement rehabilitationInvolved with projects from start to completion including planning, design, and construction administration, grading, drainage, pavement design, specifications, and construction safety plansCollaborate and/or coordinate delivery teams of multi-disciplinary design engineers and techniciansMentor in AutoCAD or MicroStation 3D modelingSupervise, coordinate, and produce several projects concurrentlyEstablish positive client relationshipsCoordinate with clients, funding agencies, state aviation officials, FAA, and local permitting agenciesConduct regular site visits during the design and construction phases of improvement projects throughout the United StatesMinimum RequirementsBA/BS + 6 years of relevant experience or equivalence in education and/or experiencePreferred QualificationsProficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D Design or OpenRoads DesignerExperience with civil site development or airfield design and constructionEI or PE, preferably State of IowaAdditional InformationRelocation available for this positionSponsorship not available for this positionCompensationOffered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
