Collect, label, handle, and process specimens and perform approved CLIA-waived testing, including urine dips, supervised and unsupervised urine drug screens, urine pregnancy tests, blood glucose finger sticks, fecal occult blood tests, COVID-19, influenza, strep, mononucleosis, A1C, and other approved waived tests. Under the supervision of licensed nursing staff, the CNA assists with patient flow, rooming, vital signs, CLIA-waived testing, specimen collection, basic patient care, infection prevention, and other clinical duties for which training and competency have been completed.
