Overview:

The position of Maintenance Tech is responsible for providing the maintenance and repair of the plant’s machinery, grounds, buildings and equipment.

Qualifications:
<ul><li style="margin:0px">Mechanical aptitude and accurate troubleshooting ability are required, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.</li><li style="margin:0px">Ability to successfully work independently and as a team with minimal supervision to accomplish tasks as assigned.</li><li style="margin:0px">Must be able to successfully obtain industrial truck and lift operating certification and safely maintain per company and OSHA standards.             </li><li style="margin:0px">Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively – verbally & written – to and work well with Team Members, Management, Customers & Vendors.                                </li><li style="margin:0px">Working knowledge of manufacturing equipment operation, ability to properly use/operate accurate tools and good math skills are required.         </li><li style="margin:0px">Ability to read & interpret written & verbal direction while working in a safe, effective & productive manner within a fast paced environment.</li><li style="margin:0px">Minimum of High School Diploma or GED required, Industrial Maintenance Degree preferred.</li></ul>

Working Conditions/Environment:
Works in a manufacturing environment where the employee is regularly required to speak, read and comprehend, sit, stand, walk, reach, lift, grasp, climb and bend while working in a fast-paced production environment. Must be able to push/pull 150 pounds short distances. Lifting of up to 75 pounds repetitively.  Standing required for up to 12 hours shifts with regular breaks. May be required to work overtime and/or weekends as needed. The employee is regularly exposed to heat, fumes, odors, dust, oil, slippery floors, moving parts/equipment and non-toxic industrial waste and scrap.  The noise level in the plant is loud.                                                                                          SLIP-RESISTANT/Steel-toed SHOES, Earplugs, safety glasses, hairnets, beard nets (if facial hair exists) are required to be worn/used in accordance with company GMP and Safety standards. Condition of these items must be inspected by employee daily and be replaced when no longer providing the optimal protection of the employee.            If facial hair exists, it must trimmed to allow proper wear of ammonia respirator mask.
