Job Title: RN II-ER Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: One year in acute care License: Current RN license in state of practice Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) Must-Have: Associate Degree in Nursing or equivalent Current BLS certification from approved vendor Current ACLS certification from approved vendor Current PALS certification from approved vendor TNCC required within 6 months of hire or transfer Description: Provides nursing care, including triage, treatment, and discharge care for Emergency Department patients, from newborns to geriatrics. Is competent in all routine nursing skills including medication administration, intravenous therapy including blood products, care and maintenance of indwelling catheters and drains, and safe use of any medical equipment used in the critical care setting.
