Job Duties: Provide services to improve functional independence and/or reduce pain such as therapeutic procedures/exercises or activities to promote ROM, strength, coordination, balance, functional mobility (bed mobility, transfers, floor transfers), ADL training, gait training, balance and vestibular training, education, and use of assistive devices. The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) will treat patients, maintain communication with doctors and other health personnel, supervise aides, volunteers, support staff, and students under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist in compliance with the Kentucky State Board of Physical Therapy Practice Act.
