Ability to set strategic objectives for mid-size social service organization; working knowledge of human services system, roles of human services personnel, and relevant community resources; ability to screen, hire, manage, and evaluate staff; ability to conduct and facilitate meetings; knowledge of the principles and techniques of counseling services to youth, families, and adults with mental illness; ability to maintain effective working relationships with other social services providers, service purchasers, and clients; ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Provides direct clinical services to clients, including individual, family, couple, and group therapy along with issue-specific or educational groups (parenting skills, anger management, substance abuse interventions as directed).
