Position Summary: The Clinical Director of Behavioral Health is responsible for the management of the Behavioral Health provider staff, as well as center-wide coordination of the delivery of professional behavioral health care, facilitation of the behavioral health care review process, and ongoing development of the Behavioral Health program. Develop plans for providers involvement in community service activities designed to enhance public awareness of health issues or increase awareness of the behavioral health services available through the centers.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of psychological theory and skill in the application of the principles and techniques of clinical psychology; specific training in the treatment of individuals with severe and persistent mental illness; knowledge of state and federal regulations and guidelines; knowledge of psychiatric diagnostic nomenclature; treatment planning and individual/group/family therapy techniques. Milwaukee County oversees operations from our Airport, Behavioral Health, Child Support, Combined Court Operations, Sheriffs Department, Community Reintegration Center, Human Services, Parks, Public Safety, Public Works, Fleet Operations, Transportation, and at the Zoo.

Children’s and its joint venture with the Medical College of Wisconsin – the Children’s Specialty Group (CSG) - are the largest providers of pediatric healthcare in the state, serving the children and families of Wisconsin with the highest level of care through their American College of Surgeons Level I Children’s Surgery Verification Center, Level I Pediatric Trauma Center, Diagnostic Imaging Center of Excellence, 72-bed Level IV NICU, Level IV Epilepsy Center, and a 72-bed PICU. Our subspecialty group of 5 faculty, 3 advanced practice providers, and a multidisciplinary staff dedicated to pediatric kidney care is deeply engaged in all missions of the Medical College of Wisconsin and Children’s Wisconsin—clinical care, education, research, and community service.

div> Provide clinical services within the Center for Child Development outpatient clinic including diagnostic evaluations and individual, family or group psychotherapy for children and families with a diverse range of developmental and mental and behavioral health issues. . Communicates and closely partners with each child's established care team including parents/caregivers, school personnel, health care providers, and other identified individuals/teams.
