Assistant Coach-WAGE Commonwealth of VirginiaAssistant Coach-WAGEVAAssist in various aspects of the intercollegiate sport program, including but not limited to: • Attending practices and player conditioning • Participate actively in practices • Support student-athletes academic experience • Creating a positive and productive environment • Travel to away games and attend home games • Keep track of special statistics at games and practices • Communicate effectively and appropriately • Maintain confidentiality of records and information • Provide feedback to coach regarding players and team as necessary • Assist with setting up and clean-up of facilities before and after practices • Offer suggestions, guidance, and information to athletes relating to the game and play • Providing encouragement and support • Helping to organize the team for practices and games • Communicating with Head Coaches and relevant issues or problems • Assisting with office duties as assigned • Actively listening and learning various sport-specific techniques as instructed by coaches • Actively listening and learning various game strategies as instructed by coaches.
