The Marketing & Communications department at Viterbo University is seeking a full-time, 12-month exempt Digital Marketing Specialist to support the Fine Arts Center and university-wide initiatives. This role is responsible for creating and managing engaging digital content across social media, web, email, and advertising channels to promote performances, events, and community engagement.The ideal candidate is a creative, organized, and collaborative professional who is passionate about storytelling, the arts, and connecting with audiences through strategic digital marketing.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDigital Content and Social Media<ul><li>Lead day-to-day management of the Fine Arts Center's social media presence, including planning, scheduling, and posting content.</li><li>Create engaging, audience-centered content that supports ticket sales, attendance, and community awareness.</li><li>Coordinate content collection (photos, short-form video, behind-the-scenes, artist highlights, patron experiences).</li><li>Support social media management for Viterbo's flagship channels as assigned, in alignment with institutional priorities.</li></ul>Web and Digital Publications<ul><li>Maintain and update Fine Arts Center website content, including event pages, show descriptions, and key promotional materials.</li><li>Coordinate the development of show programs and digital publications using established templates and systems.</li><li>Ensure content is accurate, accessible, and aligned with Viterbo brand standards and follows all contractual agreements in collaboration with the Communications Strategist.</li><li>Assist with placing FAC events on relevant community calendars and promotional listings.</li></ul>Digital Asset Creation<ul><li>Create and edit digital marketing assets including graphics, photography, video clips, and promotional materials for web and social channels.</li><li>Support the development of reusable templates and streamlined workflows to improve efficiency and consistency.</li><li>Collaborate with Marketing & Communications colleagues to ensure FAC materials align with university-wide brand identity.</li></ul>Digital Advertising and Campaign Support<ul><li>Assist the Marketing and Communications Director in placing, monitoring, and reporting on digital advertising across platforms such as Meta, Google, streaming/radio, and other digital placements.</li><li>Support campaign reporting and performance tracking to inform future strategy.</li><li>In cooperation with the Marketing and Communications Director, coordinate with internal partners to ensure campaigns are launched on time and meet goals.</li></ul>Collaboration and Customer Service<ul><li>Serve as a positive, flexible partner to the Fine Arts Center team and Marketing & Communications colleagues.</li><li>Communicate clearly and respectfully with campus partners, artists, and external vendors when needed.</li><li>Support a collaborative work environment and contribute to a high level of professionalism and service.</li></ul>Other Duties<ul><li>Other duties as assigned in support of the Fine Arts Center and Marketing & Communications goals.</li></ul>QualificationsRequired<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, digital media, graphic design, or a related field.</li><li>2–5 years of relevant experience in digital marketing, social media, web content management, or communications.</li><li>Demonstrated experience creating digital content for social media and web platforms.</li><li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.</li><li>Strong writing skills with the ability to tailor tone for different audiences.</li><li>Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (or comparable tools) and Microsoft Office.</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.</li></ul>Preferred<ul><li>Experience working in the performing arts, higher education, or a mission-driven organization.</li><li>Experience with digital ad placement and reporting.</li><li>Experience with website content management systems (CMS).</li><li>Basic photography and video editing skills.</li></ul>To Apply: Please complete the online employment application form and upload a letter of interest, CV/resume, and three professional references.About the University: Viterbo University is a private Catholic, Franciscan institution founded by the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration.
