Job Purpose & Scope:
Performs testing activities to develop independent conclusions regarding effectiveness of control environment; prepares workpapers and summary reporting for Compliance leadership that support control effectiveness conclusions.  

Essential Job Functions:
<ol><li>Performs testing activities to develop independent conclusions regarding effectiveness of control environment; prepares workpapers and summary reporting for Compliance leadership that support control effectiveness conclusions.</li><li>Serves as a compliance subject matter expert and ensures Bank compliance with current laws and regulations.</li><li>Maintains and demonstrates current knowledge of applicable state and federal laws and regulations, including, but not limited to: deposit products, advertising, privacy, website compliance, mortgage lending, consumer lending, collections, and mortgage servicing.</li><li>Collaborates with the compliance team and other Bank departments on program-wide compliance initiatives.</li><li>Develops productive relationships with business unit personnel and leadership to enable complete and accurate understanding of the operating environment.</li><li>Develops subject matter expertise of one or more Bank processes and/or systems to ensure the ability to understand and form opinions regarding the effectiveness of the control environment in complying with various statutes and recommendations that apply to Bank activities.</li><li>Performs duties assigned by Compliance Program Leadership.</li><li>Regularly exercises discretion and judgement in the performance of essential job functions.</li><li>Maintains good punctuality and attendance to work.     </li><li>Follows Bank policy, procedures and guidelines.</li></ol>  

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
<ol><li style="margin-bottom:0in;margin-right:0in;margin-top:0in">Knowledge of banking regulations related to consumer protection and disclosure.</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in;margin-right:0in;margin-top:0in">Ability to demonstrate effective organization, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in;margin-right:0in;margin-top:0in">Ability to demonstrate effective research and analytical skills.</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in;margin-right:0in;margin-top:0in">Ability to demonstrate initiative to accomplish work objectives.</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in;margin-right:0in;margin-top:0in">Ability to manage multiple tasks with exacting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. </li><li style="margin-bottom:0in;margin-right:0in;margin-top:0in">Ability to work without close supervision.</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in;margin-right:0in;margin-top:0in">Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in;margin-right:0in;margin-top:0in">Ability to read, analyze, and interpret government regulations, trade journals, and legal documents.</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in;margin-right:0in;margin-top:0in">Ability to work effectively in a team environment.</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in;margin-right:0in;margin-top:0in">Ability to demonstrate effective use of specialized software.</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in;margin-right:0in;margin-top:0in">Ability to participate in continuing education to maintain and/or enhance job performance. </li><li style="margin-bottom:0in;margin-right:0in;margin-top:0in">Ability to travel on company business on a very limited basis.</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in;margin-right:0in;margin-top:0in">Ability to work all hours as required.</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in;margin-right:0in;margin-top:0in">Skill in using computer and Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.</li></ol>

Basic Qualifications:
<ol style="padding-left:48px"><li>Bachelor degree or commensurate work experience required.</li><li>Minimum of two (2) years of work experience in the field of bank compliance or bank compliance audit or examination.</li></ol>
