Poly-America is also the most technologically advanced and largest polyethylene recycler and compounder in the world. Poly America is dedicated to providing the highest quality polyethylene products and our team of chemical, mechanical, electrical and process engineers is at the forefront of modern plastics technology.  The company’s innovative design team is responsible for several technological breakthroughs in blown-film extrusion and bag making. 

Responsibilities:
Mechanical Design Engineer at Poly-America will have to have an understanding of the fabrication, welding and machining processes that are needed to deliver a completed component or machine assembly. The process involves creating complex 3D SolidWorks models to ensure design correctness.  Generate 2D drawings to have the components manufactured. Communicate with vendors to ensure parts are fabricated or machined to meet the design specifications and are delivered on time to meet the project deadlines. Coordinate the assembly, installation and testing ensuring the desired outcome is attained. The Engineer will also be responsible for modifying or upgrading existing equipment or components of the equipment to support both Maintenance and Manufacturing groups. Qualifications:

These systems included extruders, blowers and cooling packages, rollers and nips, material transfer equipment and piping, water pumps and piping. In addition to project work the engineer will support maintenance groups on existing equipment.
