This hands-on role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is passionate about advanced vehicle multiplexing and Class 1 ES-Key programming.If you have a strong understanding of 12V DC / AC systems, can read and interpret complex wiring schematics, and want to be part of a team modernizing electrical systems to 2025 standards of excellence, we’d love to meet you.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Perform complete 12V DC / AC wiring and harness routing for fire apparatus electrical systems</li><li>Install and integrate lighting, switches, relays, breakers, diodes, solenoids, and accessories</li><li>Wire and troubleshoot battery, charging, and grounding systems</li><li>Configure, test, and troubleshoot Class 1 ES-Key multiplex systems (Super Node, CAN Bus, J1939, and associated components)</li><li>Read and interpret electrical schematics, logic diagrams, and chassis wiring documentation</li><li>Collaborate with engineers and programmers to resolve communication and pinout issues</li><li>Operate shop tools and equipment safely (forklifts, cranes, multimeters, etc.)</li><li>Support continuous improvement by identifying and documenting wiring or programming best practices</li><li>Assist with cross-functional production needs (plumbing, fabrication, etc.)</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or certification in Electrical Systems, Automotive Technology, or Mechatronics preferred</li><li>Vocational or field experience in automotive, emergency vehicle, or heavy-equipment electrical systems</li><li>Proficient in 12V DC / AC wiring and circuit troubleshooting</li><li>Experience with ES-Key, Power Vision, or IC Systems strongly preferred</li><li>Knowledge of CAN Bus, J1939, and multiplex programming logic</li><li>Ability to interpret schematics, service manuals, and safety documentation</li><li>Skilled in the use of electrical diagnostic tools and hand/power tools</li><li>Basic computer and programming literacy (CANalyzer, PCAN, or similar software a plus)</li><li>Familiarity with PLC or other logic-based control systems (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens) is a plus and beneficial for understanding multiplex programming structure</li><li>Strong communication skills; able to work independently and as part of a team</li></ul>Pre-Employment RequirementsSuccessful candidates must complete:<ul style="list-style-type:disc"><li>Physical examination</li><li>Background check</li><li>Drug screening</li><li>Valid driver’s license verification</li></ul> #hc231469
