The Nurse Practitioner also provides acute resuscitation, on-going multi-disciplinary medical management, transitional care to sub-acute areas, critical care consultations and evaluations, psychosocial support, and health education to patients and their families in the critical care arena. The Nurse Practitioner, Cardiothoracic ICU delivers primary care to acute, critical, complex and chronically ill patient population collaboratively with the Division of Cardiology and Cardiac Intensivist teams.
