Employees must be able to understand and follow safety policies, DOT regulations, traffic signs, route information, and delivery instructions; communicate effectively with coworkers, customers, and dispatch; and accurately complete required documentation, including Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs), delivery paperwork, and other required records. You'll spend about half your time driving and the other half loading and securing equipment, staging deliveries, assisting with installations, moving equipment throughout the yard, and supporting the team as needed.
