Job Summary: The Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst serves as a working-level technical resource within the Baltimore City Information Technology (BCIT) Information Security (InfoSec) Division, responsible for continuous monitoring, detection, and initial analysis of cybersecurity threats targeting city infrastructure, systems, and data, escalating complex or high-severity matters to senior SOC staff. The IT Specialist III Analyst is expected to operate with moderate independence on routine monitoring, triage, and documentation tasks, escalating complex or high severity matters to senior SOC engineers, and collaborating with the Vulnerability Management team, network operations, and agency IT leads as directed.
