The Construction Control Manager supports the 355th Civil Engineer Squadron (355 CES) at Davis Monthan, AFB, with management and surveillance of difficult and complex construction projects such as renovation of multi-unit family housing projects, repair of underground electrical distribution systems, and construction of administrative office buildings, hospitals, aircraft maintenance and support facilities, or multi-story computer facilities. They prepare various documents, reports, and correspondence and maintain daily logs and safety reports addressing the progress of construction and the administration of the contract; review plans and specifications for accuracy and completeness; recommend technical changes to plans/specifications due to field conditions or safety requirements; and inspect materials and equipment on construction sites to ensure compliance with specifications and drawings, and discusses rejections of material and deficiencies in construction methods with contractor representatives.
